After losing my son Alex in a climbing accident on October 19th 2021 I published a letter to him and poems as an eBook and paperback. The French and Spanish versions will be out in January 2023 as e-book and paperback.

Here is what two readers said about 52 Solar Panels: Love and Grief for a Son and a Planet :
…a relative of mine has written a very moving book in the form of a letter to his son who was an experienced mountain climber but tragically died last year climbing the Matterhorn mountain. Being a climate solutions advocate he looks at the universal themes of human relationships to nature and the love a father has for his son.
I found his message incredibly profound and wanted to share this as widely as possible. I think John has come up with something truly remarkable in his intertwining of grief with the fight against human-induced climate change. I never got to meet Alex but he sounds like a remarkable young man and this is a fitting tribute and legacy for his father to leave for him.

Love Earth like you love your loved ones. John Moorhead-Guinea asks a provocative question for all of us: what if you loved planet earth in the same way we love our families? Through the terrible tragedy of the death of his son, he has the reader experience the grief he feels and then compares it to the disappearance of our natural world from climate change.
